GD Plumbing, legally Plomberie GD Plumbing & Renovation Inc., is a family-operated plumbing company in Rockland, Ontario. Founder Gilles has worked in the trade since 1991, and his son Jeremie is the next generation. Both are Red Seal plumbers, serving homes and businesses in Prescott-Russell and the Ottawa area.
How did GD Plumbing start?
- 1991
Gilles became a plumber’s helper for a local company that did a lot of residential work. After four months, his employer registered him in the trade.
- 1996
He joined a large company in Ottawa and gained commercial experience on big projects. He was soon promoted to supervisor of plumbing projects.
- 2000
Gilles started his own business, GD Renovation, as a one-man shop.
- 2003
He created the company we know today, Plomberie GD Plumbing, with a small crew. The first years were mostly residential projects. Over time the work grew to include more service calls and commercial projects, from a blocked toilet to apartment buildings.
Today GD Plumbing is a small team that handles both residential and commercial work.

Jeremie grew up around the trade. During high school he worked with his father over the summer breaks, which is how he found his love for plumbing, and he went on to become a Red Seal plumber. Gilles passed on his passion for helping people and solving problems, and the next generation now carries it forward.
What is a Red Seal plumber?
The Red Seal is Canada’s interprovincial standard of excellence for skilled trades. A journeyperson earns the Red Seal endorsement by passing the interprovincial exam for their trade, and plumber is one of the Red Seal trades.
